It will bring together representatives of local and regional authorities, heads of such international organizations as UNESCO, UN-Habitat, the United Nations. The meeting will be held at the highest level. Moreover, professionals and experts in the field of local government, urban planning, public services, heritage preservation etc have been invited to participate in the forum too. They are all working together for the benefit of urban development. Participants will have an opportunity to exchange experience and establish new business relationships.
Eurasian Forum of cities is an ideal place for meetings which provides a possibility of efficient interaction, useful agreements undertaking and productive work for all the participants. It also helps gain new contacts and achieve significant professional success.
The forum will bring together mayors and heads of Russian regions, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, China, Indonesia, India, Japan, Malaysia and other countries of Eurasia.
Subject of the Forum – « Heritage and innovations » – is of interest at the moment and can help solve a lot of problems in cities. The forum will provide answer to such questions as, for instance, « How to put innovations into practice and successfully manage the city preserving heritage? » or « How to reduce traffic jams in the city center if road expansion is only possible by means of destroying historic buildings? »
The first two days of the conference will be dedicated to heritage. The third day will be dedicated to innovations in the field of public services. This choice of this topic is related to the preparation of the 3rd World Report of UCLG on decentralization and democratization of local government (dedicated to public services). The experience and suggestions of participants of the Congress of local authorities as well as the results of discussions will be considered in the preparation of the report.

- 6th International conference of Eurasian World Heritage cities « Preservation and promotion of heritage »
The International Conference of World Heritage Cities is a symposium devoted to the preservation of heritage cities. Mayors, politicians, state officials and experts in the field of preservation of historic heritage of cities come together during this event.
The first conference was held in 2004 in Kazan. After conferences took place in Safranbolu (Turkey) in 2005, Lijiang (China) in 2006, Surakarta (Indonesia) in 2008, Istanbul (Turkey) in 2011.
The subject of the conference – « Preservation and promotion of heritage » - will present new methods of enhancing of international awareness and tourist attractiveness of cities. Leading experts in the field of heritage, architects and designers will be involved. The conference will be held under the auspices of UNESCO.
